A note from the founder

Our Philosophy

Why PremiumBrands looks for names a founder can build on, and where RankForce fits that outlook.

PremiumBrands exists because I care about the point when a business stops feeling like an experiment and starts becoming something its founder wants to stand behind. I select names I can imagine building on. RankForce.com interests me because it gives a search-growth founder a company identity before the team, the service range and the product have reached their final shape.

The introduction matters early

A founder can spend months refining an offer while treating the name as something to fix later. I understand that instinct. There is always another feature to finish or another customer conversation to have. But the business is already being introduced during that period. The first proposal and the first referral carry whatever name is there today.

My test is straightforward: would I build on this? I want to be able to picture the name in everyday use, without a long explanation attached to it. With RankForce, I can picture a founder introducing a focused search company and getting straight to the work it does. The offer can be narrow. The name does not need to be.

Rank points toward search visibility, while Force suggests a coordinated team. That combination gives me a useful starting picture of the company: specialists working on related problems under one identity. The founder still has to decide which customers to serve, what to deliver and how to earn repeat business. Those are the decisions that make the name specific over time.

What building taught me

My experience with online businesses began well before the current wave of AI tools. I acquired i-Newswire.com in 2007, secured iNewswire.com in 2013 and upgraded the business to Newswire.com in February 2015. Each move belonged to an operating business with people and work behind it. On the morning of the switch to Newswire.com, a prospect told one of our sales agents, “Oh yeah, Newswire.com. I’ve heard of you guys.” They could not have heard of us under that name before that morning.

In 2022, Issuer Direct acquired the Newswire.com business for about $44 million. That was a business acquisition, not a sale or valuation of the domain on its own. The operating work and the name belong in the same account of that history. I look at RankForce through that practical lens: a company identity a founder can put beside a focused offer and a team.

I also bought PremiumBrands.com before I had a detailed plan for it. Premium names matter to me, and waiting would probably have meant losing the chance to build on that one. By now it could belong to someone using it for their own business, and then it would most likely not be for sale at all. I use the same “would I build on this?” test when deciding which names belong in the collection.

More ways to build, a reason to choose well

AI has made the process of exploring an idea much more accessible. A founder can test a workflow, assemble a prototype and see a useful first version sooner. My outlook is that recognizable names deserve more attention in that environment. Product features can be reproduced. An exact domain gives a business an address it can keep while the product changes.

For a search founder, that may mean moving from personal consulting to a specialist team, or turning a repeated task into software. I would not wait for every future capability to be finished before choosing the identity. A focused first offer is enough to begin building a company with a larger ambition. The name gives that ambition somewhere consistent to live.

This is also why I do not read the word Force as a demand to look large on day one. A founder can begin with a compact team and a well-defined responsibility. What matters is being comfortable putting the name on the work and continuing to earn it through delivery. RankForce can be the introduction while the company grows into its chosen shape.

A conversation about the right name

PremiumBrands offers RankForce.com for acquisition. If it fits your plans, you can ask about pricing or explain a partnership idea through the form. Payment plans and other structures are open to discussion. I want that first conversation to leave room for the actual business you are planning, rather than force it into a prewritten package.

If you need a different name, PremiumBrands can also help acquire one outside the collection. Choosing the right address is a decision about the company you intend to introduce and keep building. A name gives you a head start; it does not build the business. A great name will not save a bad business. A premium .com is a trust shortcut.
